Late Chief Mrs. Esther Okirika alias Adorable Mama, wife of the pioneer chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), High Chief Dr. Wellington O. Okirika (JP), popularly known as Mr 13% Derivation Fund, is to be laid to rest on Friday, September 19, 2025.

This was disclosed by the Pere Gbolu of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief P.T. Oyagha Heavens (JP), at a general meeting called by the Gbaramatu Ibe-Gbolei in the Effurun residence of the Bolowei on Thursday, September 4.

While the itinerary of the burial arrangement is yet to be finalised, it was however disclosed that the late Chief Esther Okirika will be laid to rest in her hometown, Oviorie in Ovu Kingdom, the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was also revealed that prior to the burial, a Service of Songs ceremony will hold at the St. Anglican Church in Okere Road, Warri, on September 17, 2025.

High Chief Heavens also rallied for massive support for the Bolowei and his family arising from his positive contributions to Gbaramatu, Deltans and the Ijaw Nation at large.

Condolence visits are however ongoing at the residence of the Bolowei while preparations are ongoing to give the late Chief Esther Okirika a befitting burial.
