[EXPOSITION] BIBOPERE ZION: Theme of 54th Annual Conference Heralds a New Dawn in Gbaramatu Kingdom
Anchored on the theme 'Unlimited Laughter', the 54th Annual Conference of the Bibopere Zion Church Ministry which began from Monday, October 14 to Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Okerenkoko Federated Community is believed to herald a new dawn for not only the inhabitants of the riverine community, but also for the entire Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, where the ministry is situated.
With scriptural backing from the Biblical Book of Genesis 21:6, Unlimited Laughter invokes an expectation of joy, happiness, and celebration spurred by God's intervention in the lives of His children as the Creator turns their problems into blessings, sadness into joy, lamentations into accomplishments, challenges into opportunities, lack into abundance, oppression into victory...
As captured in the confessions of Sarah, the wife of Abraham, who conceived and gave birth to Isaac (her only child) in her old age, the scriptural passage reads: "And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me." (Genesis chapter 21:6).
The theme of Unlimited Laughter resonates with the economic times of the country (Nigeria) whose citizens are experiencing hardship. But just as God made provisions through Joseph in the Land of Egypt during the seven years of famine, and the Angels of God who were sent on a mission to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah became a blessing in the life of Sarah, so too God's faithful children will be blessed in the midst of turmoil while the unfaithful lament.
Spiritual leaders such as His Holiness, Rev. Dr. Princewill Epistle Jemine (JP), known as the King of Zion, who is the General Overseer of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church of Zion Worldwide; His Grace, Archbishop Dr. Amb. Philip Tonfawei (JP), who is the General Overseer of Dominion Zion Ministry; Snr. Boan. (Amb.) Peter Ebierede German (JP), the host and Minister-in-Charge of Bibopere Zion among others, are expected to serve as God's vessel to proclaim His blessings upon His faithfuls.
The closing scene at the week-long 54th Annual Conference could best be described as Heavenly as an aerial view portrays an atmosphere of purity, a reflection from the white garments adorn by worshippers that cascaded the Auditorium of the church, as they sang praises and offered worship to the Most High God.
C&S churches are known for their love for, and their unique style of rendering worship and praises to the Heavenly Father. And this year's edition of the annual conference, which was no different, also saw the magnifying of that aspect of worship as the Bibopere Zion unveiled its new set of musical equipment to further boost the spiritual part of worshipping God.
The equipment which is worth more than N60 million is a pointer to the important place that praises hold in the C&S mode of worship. This is not surprising as the C&S church whose names are derived from the angelic Cherubim and Seraphim reflects their purpose in service to God. While Seraphim angels are involved in worship of God (Isaiah 6), the Cherubim are more warrior angels. And it is a well-known fact in Christianity that praises are a weapon of warfare (remember the Walls of Jericho in Joshua 6:20).
Though the 54th Annual Conference has come to an end, it is only just the beginning of a new dawn of 'Unlimited Laughter' for the people of Okerenkoko and Gbaramatu Kingdom at large. As God's children, it is a new dawn of divine peace, protection, and blessings of prosperity!
