EXIT OF AN ICON: Late Capt. Jonathan Ekeniwei Egbele goes home to Odimodi April 25

The Egbele and Iviyen families in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State are set to lay to eternal rest their dearly beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather, late Capt. Jonathan Ekeniwei Egbele, in Odimodi Town on Friday, April 25, 2025.

This is contained in a burial notice released by the family and signed by Mr. Binaebi Egbele for the children, and by Engr. George Igbele for the family.

In the burial arrangement, a Service of Songs ceremony will hold at Paghasa Quarter in Odimodi Town on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

7:30am on Friday, April 25, 2025, the body will leave the Ame Mortuary at Okumagba Avenue in Warri in a motorcade to the Miller Waterfront near NPA, Warri, and then to his residence in Odimodi Town by boat for a lying in state.

At 2:00pm a funeral service will hold, followed by interment, and thereafter light refreshments of guests and a social wake till dawn.

The late Capt. Jonathan Ekeniwei Egbele, who slept in the Lord on January 22 at the age of 72 years (1953–2025), hails from the families of Egbele of Paghasa Quarter in Odimodi Town and Soweibutu Quarter in Gbekebor Town, and from the Iviyen family of Seighabina 2 Quarter in Odimodi Town, all in Burutu LGA.
