The people of Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, have commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo PhD alias Tompolo and the Tompolo Foundation, for revamping education in the riverine community and in the kingdom at large.

The community's commendation is contained in an open letter that was signed by the Executive Chairman of Kokodiagbene, Comrade Ark Selegha, and released to PENGlobal Community on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Comrade Selegha noted with delight that the Tompolo Foundation's collaboration with the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) led by Comrade Egbejule Arerebo Kingsley has led to massive turnout in the number of pupils and students as well as improved learning.

According to the Chairman, the community has been contending with the issue of lack of teachers which to a large extent affected learning and forced parents to withdraw their wards for onward registration in schools in the urban centers.

"With deep appreciation and heartfelt gratitude, the people of Kokodiagbene Community, under the leadership of Comrade Ark Selegha, extend its commendation to High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo Ph.D (alias Tompolo) and the Tompolo Foundation for their visionary and impactful support towards educational development in Kokodiagbene and the Gbaramatu Kingdom at large.

"Your collaborative efforts with the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) through the Teachers Recruitment Initiative have not only brought a decisive end to the long-standing challenge of teacher shortages in our community schools, but have also significantly improved the population of pupils and students, as well as the quality of learning for our children," part of the letter reads.

The community, while further acknowledging Tompolo's intervention noted that his investment in education will no doubt secure the future of not only the present, but also the future generations.

"This intervention stands as a testament to your unwavering commitment to community development through human capital development, youth empowerment, and in extension the upliftment of the Niger Delta region. By investing in education, you are securing a brighter, more hopeful future for generations to come.

"The Kokodiagbene Community acknowledges and celebrates your generosity, leadership, and dedication to community development. We are proud to be beneficiaries of your legacy of service and transformation.
