EDUCATION: EBF donates writing materials worth millions of naira to Pupils of Benja Light Academy

In continuation of its Creek 2 School Legacy Project, the Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF), in collaboration with Sir Godfrey Tare Pondi, the Managing Director (Operations) of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, has donated writing materials worth millions of naira to pupils of Benja Light Academy in the riverine community of Okosuama, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The writing materials which comprises of 200 branded school bags, 50 branded mathematical sets, and other writing materials, were presented to the pupils by the EBF Founder, Mr. Ernest Bebenimibo, in company of his wife, Mrs. Loveth Bebenimibo, and other volunteers on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Among the EBF volunteers that participated in the exercise are Mrs Joann Eseroghene Onoruerome, Dcn Chapele Oghenero, Mrs Blessing Arome, Mrs Tina Edward Odudu, Ms Douye Peter, Mr Dennis Sokoto, and Mr Ezekiel Michael.

The EBF Founder in his address to the pupils during the phase three execution of the project stressed on the importance of education to their personal growth and national development, just as he cautioned them to always be punctual to school.

He encouraged them to remain focus in their studies irrespective of the challenges of learning they might encounter in the foundation stage especially by their location in the creeks.

Above all, the EBF Founder instilled the core message of hope on the pupils reminded them that "their TOMORROW can be better than TODAY" if only they are willing to study hard, to focus on their studies, and "not to go fishing during school hours."

Among those in attendance that witnessed the ceremony are the vice chairman of the community, Blessing Enekorogha; head teachers, teachers, parents and community youths.

Stakeholders of Okosuama appreciated the EBF and its sponsors for the kind gesture in rising to the needs of pupils in the riverine community, while urging other good spirited individuals and organisations to borrow leaf from the Foundation.

The pupils of Benja Light Academy were full of smiles as they received their gifts of bags and writing materials, as they chorused their appreciation to the EBF and its sponsors.
