On behalf of my family, fellow executive council members, and the good people of Benikrukru community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, I, COMR. JOEL TONJOH, join other well-wishers of HIGH CHIEF GOVERNMENT EKPEMUPOLO PhD alias TOMPOLO, the Ibe Ebidouwei of Izon Nation, to celebrate the Niger Delta leader and hero on his being conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, on November 25, 2023.

In the same vein, I also congratulate another prominent leader and an academician, CHIEF DENNIS BRUTU OTUARO PhD, the Ibe Uyadonwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom for bagging an Academic Doctorate Degree in Comparative Politics and Development Studies from the University of Benin.

There is no telling that you have both, through these recent achievements, made us proud as Gbaramatu people, and have also demonstrated that hard work pays in the long run. Moreover, this is part of the crown humanity has designed to honour your intellectual capacity as leaders whose dream is to ease the sufferings of the Niger Delta people.

In addition, you have both demonstrated a fact that one should never settle for less, as your being honoured is a testament of your mighty resolve to not accept the status quo occasioned by your births in a neglected terrain, but by rising up and turning your precarious challenges to opportunities for excellence, you choose to recreate the world we all dream of. Yes, there are those who dream and then do nothing; but like Martin Luther King Jnr., you do not only have a dream, you worked tirelessly to be a witness of the materialisation of that dream.

In all, we give the Almighty God all the glory and I am happy to be a part of this realisation. You're not only being honoured, Gbaramatu Kingdom is also being honoured.
