The good people of Azama community as led by its Executive Chairman, Mr. Oritsejolor Tamaraenade Mark, extend their congratulations to High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, the Ibe Ebidouwei of Izon Nation; and to Chief (Dr.) Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the Ibe Uyadonwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, on the award of Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko, Delta state, and Academic Doctorate Degree by the University of Benin, Edo state, respectively, on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Having known your leadership capacities over the years, your recent academic achievements does not come as a surprise to many of us as we, the Gbaramatu people, have for long given our honours which you have earned over the years of your sacrifices towards the growth and development of our kingdom.

These honours which you have both been bestowed with is a pride to us and a reflection of the fact that the Ijaws are a hardworking and nurtured people of excellence, such that when we focus our minds and energies in whatever we have been called to do, we make nothing but great impacts.
