A youth leader and mobiliser, Mr. Bokumor Woko Progress, has called on Deltans across various ethnic nationalities and political affiliations to rally support for the immediate-past deputy governor of Delta State, Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, who he said has joined the race to represent Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), ahead the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

In a released statement on Wednesday, Bokumor revealed that the former deputy governor has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and is equipped with the wealth of experience in governance to give the people of Delta South Senatorial District the much needed representation.

The statement reads in part, "In the spirit of pushing for the enthronement of effective and efficient democratic representation, I wish to call on all Deltans, particularly the good people of Delta South Senatorial District, including our brothers and sisters from the Ijaw, Urhobo, Isoko, Itsekiri, Ndokwa, and other ethnic nationalities, to unite and rally support for the immediate-past Deputy Governor of Delta State, Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, as he joins the race to represent Delta South in the National Assembly, come the 2027 general elections.

"Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Otuaro remains one of the most experienced, tested, and accomplished political leaders to emerge from Delta South in recent times. Throughout his tenure as Deputy Governor of Delta State, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, humility, commitment to peace-building, and an unwavering dedication to the development of all communities across the state.

"His contributions to human capital development, youth empowerment, educational advancement, conflict resolution, and infrastructural growth have left lasting impacts on the lives of countless Deltans. His accessibility, wealth of experience in governance, and deep understanding of the challenges confronting our people make him eminently qualified to provide effective representation at the National Assembly," he added.

According to the youth mobiliser, Dcn. Otuaro is a candidate that the people can trust as he possesses the qualities the senatorial district needs in the current political dispensation, noting that with such reputation the former deputy governor deserves support beyond ethnic, religious and party lines.

"At this critical period in our political journey, Delta South requires a representative who possesses the capacity, credibility, and courage to defend the interests of the district and attract meaningful development to our communities. Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Otuaro has consistently demonstrated these qualities throughout his years of public service.

"I therefore urge all stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, women organizations, professionals, traditional institutions, political actors, religious groups, and the general electorates across Delta South to look beyond ethnic and political differences and support this worthy aspiration in the collective interest of our people," he charged.

Speaking further, he stressed that "The 2027 elections present another opportunity for Delta South to strengthen its voice at the national level" and reminded the people that "By supporting Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, we will be choosing competence, experience, inclusiveness, and purposeful leadership.
