DELTA LG: Ekpemupolo emerges Coordinator, Leader of Legislative Leaders Forum

The leader of the Legislative arm in Warri South-West Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Samuel Idukedoumene Ekpemupolo, has emerged the Coordinator/Leader of the Delta State LG Councillors Legislative Leaders Forum, otherwise known as the Leader of All Legislative Leaders in the state.

Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo among other legislative leaders were appointed by Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa, the Executive Chairman of Okpe LG Council, who also doubles as the Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Delta State Chapter, at a meeting in Orerokpe, the headquarters of Okpe LGA, on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Other legislative leaders that emerged as executive members of the Forum are Rt. Hon. Michael Okonji, Leader, Oshimili South as Secretary; Rt. Hon. Olokor Friday Abizire, Leader, Isoko South as Public Relations Officer; and Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emojeya, Leader, Ethiope East as Treasurer.

Others are Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Dikenwosi Chukwuyem Eric, Leader, Ika North-East as Delta North coordinator; Rt. Hon. Joy Nomeme Ejumudo, Leader, Warri South as Delta South coordinator; and Rt. Hon. Rire Okejera Uruesheyi, Leader, Uwvie as Delta Central Coordinator.

In his appreciation, Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo thanked the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Esiovwa; the Executive Chairman of Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni; and other 

He said, "To the Chairman, Okpe Local Government, who doubles as the Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Delta State Chapter, Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for organizing the recent meeting held at Okpe secretariat to establish a formidable team of executives to lead the legislative leaders of the 25 LG in Delta State. Your leadership ensured a smooth and productive discussion, and I truly appreciate the effort you put in it.

"Also, I’m most grateful to the Executive Chairman of Warri South-West, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni for his steadfast support.

"I’m truly appreciative to my exceptional colleagues from Delta South who gave me all necessary support and to all the state legislative leaders for their unwavering support, which was instrumental in my emergence as the Leader of All Leaders Forum. God Bless you all," he added 

The Leader of All Leaders also thanked fellow Legislative leaders that emerged as executive members of the Forum for their support and promised to work together with "the leadership Forum and the entire 500 Councillors in Delta State" to make possible a "progressive future."

Delta State LG Councillors Legislative Leaders Forum comprises of all the 25 legislative leaders in Delta State LG Councils to look out for the welfare of councillors, to deepen democracy, and to ensure the interests of legislators are protected.
