As Delta State, created on 27th August 1991, marks its 32nd year anniversary on Sunday, the State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated Deltans with the assurance that there is more room for development as limitless possibilities lies ahead for them and for the oil-producing state.

Governor Oborevwori, who delivered the congratulations via his official Twitter handle @RtHonSheriff, on Sunday, August 27, 2023, also praised Deltans for their sense of unity.

The governor wrote: "Today, on behalf of my family and the state government, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Deltans and residents on the 32nd anniversary celebrations of our beloved state.

“This momentous occasion is a celebration of vision, growth, unity, and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead. I am deeply grateful to Almighty God for preserving the peace in our state and for the remarkable development achieved over the years by our past leaders, starting from the very first day of its creation.”

Speaking further, the fifth democractic governor of the state assured Deltans of his MORE Agenda to deliver to their expectations 

"With the MORE Agenda of this administration, we will harness our diversity as a source of strength to positively transform the socioeconomic well-being of our people.

"On this joyous occasion, I wish all Deltans and residents a happy 32nd anniversary and offer my heartfelt congratulations. May God bless Delta State, and may His blessings encompass us all," the governor prayed.
