DELTA: 2023 House of Assembly Candidate Emerges PRP Woman Leader, Canvasses for Membership

updated 19 Apr, 2024

A former house of assembly contestant in the 2023 general elections from Burutu Constituency 1 in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Barr. Juliet Yeiwareneghan, has emerged Woman Leader in the People's Redemption Party (PRP) after the party's recent rejigging of its state executive officers.

Documents sighted by PENGlobal Politics on Friday (April 19, 2024) revealed that Chief Yeiwareneghan was appointed, among other executive positions, in the acting capacity of Woman Leader, as signed by one Hon. Patrick Chuka ANFS on April 15, 2024.

Speaking on the development, Chief Yeiwareneghan, who is also the Ezonyin of Izon Ibe and the president of the Federated Women for Nation Development in Nigeria, urged Deltans, particularly women to close ranks with the PRP which is gender friendly.

"I want to use this opportunity to call on Deltans that PRP is a big party, a party that is classless. A party that works with women, youths and the old. A party that respects the rights of people. A party that does not look for money to vote you in. A party that does not fault people.

"Delta should seize this opportunity to work with the PRP, the party that means well; their moral and the constitutional rights are all intact. A party that respects all class of persons; a party that does not segregate or select women; women should come en masse to work with the PRP.

"Our futures are bright. The PRP is ready to encourage every woman, youth and men in any area you want to excel politically. I'm using this opportunity as a clarion call to Deltans and Nigerians at large," she said.

Speaking further she said, "I'm with PRP. The PRP is a father party. It covers every person, member, candidate, with the umbrella of love, unity, peace and development. If you doubt me, check on their constitution. PRP is clear in their aims and objectives and they are working towards that. They keep them. They don't just say it. They work with the rules and regulations, the aims and objectives. It's a call, it's a clarion call that every one of us should come to PRP and work with them.

"Have you been in a party where you were harassed sexually before given office? Have you been in a party where you are not noticed? Come to PRP. All is history," she assured.
