COUNCILOR: Nani Mala Declares for Kokodiagbene Ward 20, Harps on Transparency, Accountability, Effective Leadership

updated 27 May, 2024

Mr. Nani Mala, in a bid to represent the people of Kokodiagbene Ward 20 in the legislative arm of the Warri South-West Local Government Council, has joined the race for councillor under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, political party in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Mr. Mala, a native of Kokodiagbene community, hinted PENGlobal Politics that his candidacy is hinged on the three-pronged mandate of transparency, accountability, and effective leadership.

"My aspiration is to give good representation to my people," said Mr. Mala, "and so I am set to do just that especially as a progressive with the three-point mandate of Transparency, Accountability, and Effective Leadership, which guarantees good governance."

The APC aspirant appealed to members of his constituency for their support as his candidacy is a guarantee to deliver to them the long awaited expectations of effective representation in the Council.

"I am appealing for support from members of my constituency that they should give me the opportunity to represent them in the legislative arm in the Council in return for good governance via effective representation.

"I promise to not let them down if given the opportunity to serve. Moreover, as a grassroots person I am conversant with the desires of the people. I believe with such knowledge I am qualified to represent them," he added.

It would be recalled that the Chairman of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, Dr. R.J.A. Agbaike, had unveiled the time-table for the 2024 local council elections in the state, which will be held on July 13.
