CHILD DEDICATION: Echoes of the Appointed Time as the Oluba's Dedicate Son, Kariebi Jayson Nesiama

updated 28 Oct, 2024

The need for humans to exercise patience in the Almighty God, especially for those who are expectant, was re-echoed at the Restoration Zion (Kolokolo) ministry in the Udu area of Delta State, as Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Ebikoro Oluba dedicate their infant son, Master Kariebi Jayson Ebikoro Nesiama, on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

The child dedication ceremony, which also witnessed a wedding programme, was anchored by the General Overseer, Boan. Columbus Oluba, and was performed by Evang. Emmanuel Bebenimibo.

The parents of Master Kariebi Jayson Ebikoro Nesiama who hail from Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, danced in excitement as an expression of their state of gratefulness to God over His faithfulness in gifting them another fruit of the bomb as they give him back through the spiritual ceremony of dedication.

Evang. Bebenimibo who delivered a sermon titled 'The Appointed Time' with readings taken from the Bible Book of Psalms 102, later performed the child dedication with anointing on the infant child after prayers were offered on the infant child by the general overseer of the ministry.

According to the evangelist, "There is an appointed time for everybody, for everyone. Even as you are waiting, there is an appointed time to have your own. When the appointed time comes, they will dedicate their own," he said, while backing the validity of his sermon with the accounts of Sarah and Abraham, as well as Hannah and her husband Elkanah, who he noted "waited for the appointed time for them to have their own to dedicate."

Mr. and Mrs. Oluba later performed a Thanksgiving to the Almighty God after their son's dedication and also entertained members and guests in attendance with light refreshments.

Other major highlights of the ceremony include prayers for the parents, and group photograph session with family members, friends and well-wishers.

As the ceremony winds to a close, the host invited those in attendance to a get-together celebration at their home for entertainment in continuation of the celebration.
