The Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has hailed Tamarataremi Uduboh, daughter of Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh of KFT Conglomerate, for her astounding performance in the Charterhouse Lagos Art Competition.

The youth body gave the commendation in a statement released and signed by its President, Mr. Egbejule Arerebo Kingsley, on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Uduboh, who competed keenly with other contestants in art painting competition aimed to unlock the power of Arts and Culture, earned second place by her performance on December 5.

Commending her performance, the Charterhouse Lagos school whose Director of Education is John Todd, wrote on their Instagram page: "You took the theme and made it your own, reminding us that belonging looks different for everyone, and that's the beauty of it. Thank you for expressing it so clearly through your art."

Speaking on the achievement, the GYC President said the excellent performance of Uduboh is a reflection of how hardworking and focused Gbaramatu sons and daughters are, especially when they open their minds to learn, while he charged others to emulate such excellent feat.

He said, "We praise Uduboh for doing well and encourage her to remain steadfast. We also use thus opportunity to encourage our students, not only in the science aspect, but also in arts and other fields, to be good academic ambassadors of the kingdom."

The Charterhouse Lagos, one of the most expensive school in Nigeria, opened with years one to six in 2024/25 and then by 2025/2026 it added their secondary school with years seven, eight and nine, and also boarding for which Charterhouse is renowned. 

John explained, “95 per cent of our secondary school students are actually, boarding, which is really, great. Next year, we're going a bit further. We are adding year 10 for IGCSE and year 12 for A levels."
