CERTIFICATION: Peretim Elite Global Ltd receives SON approval, promises optimum quality paints

A foremost innovative brand in the Niger Delta region, Peretim Elite Global Limited, has received significant approval from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) for its locally manufactured paint variants, an endorsement that has further solidified the indigenous brand's reputation within the real estate industry and is set to significantly boost customers' confidence.
Peretimiebi Timiyan, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Peretim Elite Global Limited, announced this development on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, while presenting the official approval documents in Warri, Delta state.
In the document, which was sighted by PENGlobal Business, the SON approval covers several of Peretim Elite Global Limited's paint products: Peretim Satin Emulsion Paint, Peretim Matt Emulsion Paint, Peretim Emulsion Paint, Peretim Screeding Paint, and Peretim Textured Paint.
According to the document, signed by Engr. Akinware Ayodele John, SON's Head of MANCAP, on behalf of the Director General/Chief Executive, the approval allows for the continued production of Peretim paints while the full certification process is underway.
"This is to convey the approval of the Director General of Standards Organisation of Nigeria for your company to use the following Fast Track numbers on your product while the Certification of the Product is being processed," the document explicitly states.

Timiyan, who recently received the PENGlobal Innovative Male Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 award, emphasized that seeking SON's approval and eventual certification was driven by the company's commitment to building client confidence. He also highlighted the importance of this step in changing the common perception that locally made goods are inferior to foreign products.
"We needed to get approval and certification from the recognized government agency to reassure the general public and our customers of the high-quality nature of our paints, which can not be compared with other brands," he said
He further explained that, "This first stage of approval means a lot to us. We can't just keep business on hold while we await certification. Also, before this approval, the products were examined by the institute of public analysts of Nigeria, and the comment was that the test carried out on the sample conform with NIS 1039:2024 standard as signed by the public analyst, SOKUNLE O.H. (IPAN NO. 000330). SON remains convinced beyond any doubt on the quality nature of our durable paints."
The Peretim Paint Boss urged Nigerians to support indigenous brands through consistent patronage, stressing that such support leads to long-term economic benefits.
"One fact about indigenous brands is that they help create jobs. That is both a short- and long-term benefit. So, when Nigerians patronize local brands, they are indirectly boosting the economy," he stated.
Timiyan concluded by reaffirming Peretim's unwavering commitment to quality across all its services, not just its paint segment.
"For Peretim, we are ever committed to quality on all of our services, not just our paint segment alone. Nigerians (Deltans inclusive) should therefore expect nothing less, but the very best in our quality paints, this we can assure them," he promised.
