CELEBRATION OF LIFE: The Wuruyai, Okoroware set to honour Late Kperike Helen Wanju with befitting rites Mar. 14

The Wuruyai and Okoroware families of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, are set to lay to eternal rest their beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, late Kperike Helen Wanju Nee Wuruyai, in Benikrukru community on Friday, March 14, 2025.

This is contained in a public notice announcing the deceased call to glory and the burial arrangement, signed by Mr. Billy Wanju for the children and Chief Joseph Wuruyai for the family.

According to the funeral arrangement, the body of the late Kperike Helen Wanju Nee Wuruyai, who passed away on 31st October 2022 at the age of 92 years, will be conveyed from the Veenell Mortuary by 10:00am to Miller Waterfront for onward journey to her hometown, Benikrukru community, for the final burial rites.

On arrival in Benikrukru, a Christian funeral service will hold, after the entertainment of guests and in-laws, from 8:00pm to 11:30pm, followed by a wake-keep ceremony till dawn.

The late Kperike Helen Wanju Nee Wuruyai hails from the families of late Mr. Wuruyai Ofoni-Ege of Ikiretimi Quarter, Oporoza; Nei-Bralabor Quarter of Benikrukru, and Agbolofor Okoroware of Ogeh Quarter in Kunukunuama, Fafa Quarter in Pepe-ama communities, all of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

She is survived by eight children, 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

May her gentle soul rest peacefully in the Bosom of the Lord (Amen).
