CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Ogulagha set to Honour Late Ibe Okosuwei with Wrestling Match, Other Rites December 7

The people of Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State are set to honour the Late Elder Capt. Evene Akogbene Dickson Paul, the Ibe Okosuwei, who passed away at the age of 131 years (1893-2024), with a befitting burial rites including wrestling competition in Ogulagha Town on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

This is contained in a recent burial notice arrangement that was released by the family of the Ibe Okosuwei also popularly known as Elicopter, Zubiri and Torufanu.

According to the burial arrangement, the interment of the late Ibe Okosuwei will take place 10am on Saturday, December 7, at the family compound in Keneke Idumu, Ogulagha Town.

A wrestling competition will take place between Fearless Tigers and Naked Wrestlers as part of the activities honouring the late brother, uncle, father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather who slept in the Lord on March 30, 2024, while musical entertainment will be supplied by Izon Highlife musician, Prince Smally Okpe.

The late Ibe Okosuwei hails from the Lamienghan of Keneke Idumu and the Prefugha / Aghorowei of Akereware Quarters of Ogulagha Town, both of Delta State.

He is survived by a wife, Ma. Meeting Evene; three children: Mrs. Epoghoide Esinne, Mrs. Helen Akini Idumuwei and Miss Emomotimi Evene; 15 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
