BOOK LAUNCH: 'The Man On A Mission' Receives Positive Ratings as Scramble for Copies Begins

21 Aug, 2023

"A man's book is his entire life compressed in a few pages. If you want to know a man, buy his book," was the powerful statement of Archbishop Dr. Sebastian Idahosa, a guest at the launch of the powerful Christian book, 'The Man on a Mission', written by Bishop Felix Piniki and that is currently on sale.

The book launch which held at the Fire Faith Praise Mission Int'l Inc. in Effurun, Delta State, on Sunday, August 20, 2023, had in attendance several church ministers namely Bishop Dr. Great Omosheye (guest speaker), Rev'd Clement Doiyah Tiemor JP, Rev. Barr. John Mike, Apst. Mathias Amaye Zion, Apst. Fred Akpereamong, Pst. Saint Abraham Tebiano, among others.

At the preview of 'The Man on a Mission', Archbishop Dr. Idahosa, during his brief exposition of some of the chapters from the 15-chaptered powerful book, hinted that: “Pastors are not the only people on a mission. As a matter of fact, every believer from the day you become born again, you become a man on a mission. In ministry, the pastor cannot do everything because he's not called to do everything... he is not sent alone, he has others sent to join him/her to fulfill that mission,” he added.

The Archbishop who also dwelled on the importance of counselling, one of the topics contained in the book, admonished everyone to always seek godly advice from others, which he said 'The Man on a Mission' gladly fulfills, hence the book is worth reading if one desires living a fulfilled life.

Rev. Dr. Tiemo, during his preview of 'The Man on a Mission' said, "I have read this book. This book will help you to single out the mission God has approved for you among the many areas calling for your attention," just as he set the pace for others by launching a copy of the book.

On his part, Rev. Barr. Mike, drawing from some of the topics highlighted in the book during the preview session, noted that 'The Man on a Mission' is a book of wisdom that everyone irrespective of their religious faiths should endeavour to get a copy as its ingredients will further the fulfillment of their purpose (mission) in life.

The book launch also featured a brief word of exhortation from the guest speaker, Bishop Dr. Omosheye, and a worship and praise session, with the gifted sonorous singer, Bishop Piniki, rendering melodious tunes at the closing session.

Drawing from the preface of his new published work, Bishop Piniki said: "This book will be an inspiration for any serious reader, beginners, teachers, students, and to anyone who earnestly, sincerely want to continue and/or excel in Christian work or journey. It is instructive, a compendium and a work book for any Christian worker. It is carefully put together to tutor you to your place of destiny and fulfillment, a luminary."

The author, Bishop Piniki, is a pioneer of the riverine gospel, particularly from Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West council area of Delta State, and the first to bring foreign missionaries from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia to that part of the state, as noted in the "About the Author" session of the book
