BIRTHDAY: You have made Ijaw Nation Proud, IPF tells Tonlagha, Ekpemupolo
The Ijaw Publishers Forum, IPF, has described two Ijaw illustrious sons, Engr Matthew Tonlagha, the Executive Director of Fenog Nigeria Limited, and Hon. George Ekpemupolo, a former chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council, Delta State, as "the pride of Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta at large."
The body of Ijaw publishers made the pronouncement in a congratulatory note that was issued on behalf of the Forum by its president, Comrade Ozobo Austin, on the just concluded birth anniversaries of the duo that was marked on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
It was learnt that the two personalities birth dates coincided on same day, which the IPF noted is a sign of great possibilities in the Ijaw nation.
According to Comr. Ozobo, the two celebrants, with their track records had made Ijaw Nation proud, describing them as symbol of light in the Nigeria as a country, and that their birth anniversaries are worthy of celebration.
The Forum in the statement noted that the duo had contributed immensely to the development and the enduring peace in Niger Delta region.
Comr. Ozobo in the statement said, "We love them. They are proud and illustrious sons of Ijaw Nation. Their personal sacrifices to the peace in Niger Delta can't be overemphasised. They brought thousands of people from the street.
"We acknowledged all their support to individuals and corporate bodies. We know they will continue to make us proud. It is part of our prayers for them to continue to enjoy God's grace in their lives," Comr. Ozobo added.
IPF maintained the celebrants had created massive jobs for the teeming youths in Niger Delta and are now employers of labour, empowering thousands of youths in the region.
The media professionals prayed for the duo to have more divine blessings, good health, more elevation and everything in life as they marked their birth anniversaries.
