I, CHIEF (MRS.) MERCY GBENEKAMA, the Ibe Uyadon-Ere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, count it first, a privilege, to be given the opportunity by the Almighty God through the precious gift of life, and secondly, as a honour to be celebrated by so many persons who embellished me with congratulatory words and prayers of blessings.

Whatever I am now is by the grace and mercies of the Almighty God. I can do nothing of my own, save by my Creator who made me and through whom I can do and achieve anything, in line with His divine Will for me. And so I return all the honour and the glory to Him alone because He owns me and deserves all the praise.

In appreciation I say THANK YOU to my darling, wonderful, and handsome husband, the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief (Amb.) T.D.A. Godspower Gbenekama (JP), who set the ball rolling on my Birthday on Monday with sweet messages and presents of gifts. Indeed, you are a darling. I am grateful being your loving wife and I appreciate the cares you give to me.

In same wise, I appreciate everyone, including my children, relatives, friends and other well-wishers, who sent me goodwill messages on social media, through SMS, as well as placed calls to personally congratulate and to celebrate me. The love was tremendous and I lack the right words to express the joy you all gave me. All I can say is that my God will bless you all abundantly in Jesus name, Amen.

The most important lesson of all is that one should lead a good life. If I am a bad person I don't think I would have received that much attention and given this much honour. It has further stirred in me an undying passion to use my life to positively affect humanity and for the glory of God. 

Once again, I am indeed very grateful. May the Lord protect, bless and give us more grace to celebrate in Jesus name, Amen.
