After a brief church service at the Unity Baptist Church, Ugbori, and a brief stop over at her husband's residence, Mr. Sunny Kpenosen, the remains of the Late Mrs. Otede was conveyed in a motorcade to her hometown via a decorated sea-borne vessel at the Miller waterfront near N.P.A.
In the more than eight hours journey, it was entertainment all the way as family members and other sympathisers on board the vessel took to the floor to show case their beautiful dance steps to Izon musicals churned out by Ebiz and his band.
The late Mrs. Otede, who is popularly known as Madam CE, was born on a fateful Thursday, the 15th day in the month of August, 1947, into the families of Late Chief Erefa Edelu of Aruku Idumu in Azama Town and Letugbene (in Bayelsa State), and Igoba Town/Okiri Idumu in Okerenkoko Town, Gbaramatu Kingdom.
The late Mrs. Otede was mentored and nurtured from her tender age into adulthood by her sister, Late Mrs. Ayi Gaifede Ubebe, in Oporoza Town, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
She attended the then famous and ancient L.A. (Local Authority) Primary School in Oporoza, from January 1955 to December 1961, where she sat and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. However, for her quest for further education, she picked an Adult Literacy Education Form sponsored by the Avenue Baptist Church, where she obtained another School Leaving Certificate.
In her early life, late Mrs. Otede married late Engr. Tom Onomaran Aboh, and the union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Mrs. Beauty Aboh-Omare. In the late 80’s, she met her lovely husband, Mr Sunday Ojere Kpenosen, an Accountant, and they both got married afterward. Late Mrs Otede Kpenosen, until her death, could be described as a virtuous woman because of her uprightness, steadfastness, and sincerity. She is also known by many by her peaceful disposition, kind heartedness, empathy, and steadfastness to upholding goodness.

It was an achievement that paved the way for her prominence and popularity cutting across all the various communities in Ogulagha and Gbaramatu kingdoms, as a result of her transparency and accountability with her numerous customers.
However, amidst her busy schedules, late Mrs Otede never abandoned her spiritual life and personal relationship with God. She was an ardent believer of our Lord Jesus Christ and a staunch member of the Unity Baptist Church, Ugbori. It was her devotion, dedication, and commitment to work in the Lord’s vineyard that encouraged the leaders at the church nominating her to attend some training programmes, workshop and other related activities aimed at boosting her relationship with God.
She was committed to her business as an entrepreneur until she passed away on the 19th day of February 2024, at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, and other relatives.
In the evening hours (before dark) the vessel got to its destination, Azama, for the final rites of the funeral of a rare gem and patriarch, who at 77 years, touched lives in her own unique way. May her golden soul rest in perfect peace (Amen).
