It was a prayer answered for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Shedrach Jemibor, who dedicated their fourth child, but first son, Marvelous (Marvis) Tamaradenyefa Ezekiel, at the Divine Rock of Ages Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion (Solution Center) in Okumagba Layout, Warri, Delta State, on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

In the mood of excitement, the couple, who hail from Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State (paternal) and from Arogbo Kingdom in Ondo State (maternal), decided to celebrate God's goodness in their lives with a reception party where they hosted families, friends and well-wishers.

The colourful reception held at the popular Mosheshe Playground along Airport Road in the Effurun area of the state after the conclusion of the child dedication ceremony in the church.

"I did not even expect it at all," confessed Mrs. Doutimi, the mother of Baby Marvis (a shortened form for Marvelous), as she bared her mind out while recounting the experience during pregnancy.

"I lost hope. I said I don't want to put my mind on it again," she added, referring to her expectation of a boy child after giving birth to three girls in a row.

However, to calm her nerves, being human, she did went for a scan to know what she would be expecting at birth. And when the result finally came in, her excitement knew no bound and laid to rest her worries.

Speaking excitedly she offered hope to women undergoing similar challenges by counseling that they put their trust in the Almighty God with whom nothing is impossible to achieve.

"My message to them is that we should all put put our hope on God because nothing pass God, there is nothing that God cannot do. Doctor will say you should eat this, eat watermelon or eat that. Well, when God says this is for you, He will give you the exact one you want," she assured.

On his part, Mr. Shedrach Jemibor, the proud father of the infant son, attributed the miracle to the God of his late father, the Most Rev. Fr. Dr. Prt. Apst. Ezekiel Omatie Jemibor, spiritual leader and founder of Fia-fia Zion in Opuede Federated Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom.

"My late father, I want to appreciate the God of my late father, Ezekiel, because He is a very living God. I credit God because during the death of my father, I had a lot of stress and at the end of it, my elder brother gave birth to twins. And He came to me again and now He has given us a new child again.

"Even my older brother was looking for fruit of the womb twice. At the end of the day, God changed the story. So we give thanks to the God of Ezekiel, who has been the Man of God in our time. I think his legacy will not be forgotten in our time, in our generation," he added.

The reception of the child dedication was marked with fun fare with music entertainment and refreshments for guests in attendance.
