In this up close and personal chat with the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Peretim Elite Global Limited, Peretimiebi Timiyan, who hails from both Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area and from Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, the CEO shares brief insights with PENGlobal Business as he marks the first anniversary of the conventional and digital asset management organisation that specializes in real estate, interior and exterior design/decorations, sales and investment, renewable energy property, oil and gas related asset, retail and general contracting services, among others. Excerpts:

➡️ It all started with faith

"My Pastor of blessed memory, Dr. Richmond Leigh always say that you don't need money to start business; all you need is faith," said the CEO Peretimiebi. "I just woke up one morning, January 14th, preparing for a wedding. It just came with a thought that wouldn't leave my head. That was how Peretim started, with faith" he revealed.

➡️ From January 14th to February 2nd

"I would say the beginning was January 14th. That was when, I believed God put it in my heart to start this organisation," the gentle-looking Peretimiebi disclosed while making clarification on the anniversary date. "However, February 2nd, 2023, was the date the company was approved by the CAC," he explained further on the choice of February 2.

➡️ Peretim Elite started with nothing

"Peretim Elite Global Limited started out of nothing," Peretimiebi re-emphasized on his earlier comment about having faith as he recalled that moment he had to make a hard decision to tow the line of entrepreneurship with no pre-plans. "When I said I started out of nothing, I meant that I never knew I would venture into this kind of business. It's not like I actually had it in mind or planned this. It started with God, and it's still God and it's still going to be God," he stressed.

➡️ 12 months of challenges

"I am not saying there are no challenges," CEO Peretimiebi admitted as he remembers the challenges he had had to deal with along the way. Indeed the past 12 months was not a walk in the park for him but a bumpy one, as he further revealed that "There was a time I felt discouraged and didn't even know what to do." 

But how did he managed to overcome those difficult times. With smiles he said, "God has been the one leading me all the way in the midst of challenges, having nothing, and not knowing what to do. God always shows up," he reassured confidently.

➡️ With each day comes improvement

"But one thing I've learnt so far is how I get to learn at this job. There's so many mistakes along the way but you get to improve on yourself and learn from people. I've learnt so much. Peretim is one year but all glory to God. The finances and everything has been God all the way, and it's something I cannot fathom out."

➡️ Peretim Elite is getting better

"One thing with struggles, challenges, disappointments, all of these things, is that they make you strong. God actually put all of these things to make you strong, just like gold that goes through the fire to become pure," the CEO noted as he drew inspiration from the process of refining gold. "I think that was somehow part of what made me, I am getting stronger," he added.

➡️ It's all God in action

As the organisation turned one year in existence, the CEO attributes its success so far to the grace and mercies of God Almighty: "First and foremost, I just want to thank God. He is the source. Peretim is one year, but all glory to God," he re-echoed his appreciation once again.

But asides the grace of God, Peretimiebi knows the Creator uses humans to do His bidding. And of course there were those that helped boost his confidence in the entrepreneurship journey. To these persons he acknowledged thus: "Basically I just want to thank all the people around me who made it happen. Pastor  (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh, who has been my pastor, life coach and mentor; I thank her for the strength, guidance and counseling. Also, my assistant Pastor Tony Kadiri and Pastor John Obuwoma, as well as my Barrister friend, Prof. Teddy Idiabeta; and of course PENGlobal for the media support. I am indeed grateful to all."

"We all have a purpose why we are here on Earth and for me I believe that aligning with God's plan helps in the realization of that purpose. Without Him we can't do anything. He's our architect. He owns the master plan of our lives. So we need to look up to Him and trust Him no matter the challenges or difficulties. Doing otherwise will result in failure as succeeding in business is not based on what we know alone. I hope my experience help inspire someone out there."
