AMAZON PROJECT: 'Outstanding Women's Conference 2024' will help women "live out their true potential" — Barr. Kenge

updated 07 May, 2024

Barr. Kenge Itima Iyoroebi, the consultant for the Amazon Project 'Outstanding Women's Conference 2024' billed for Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Kerues Event Centre off Jakpa Road in Ekpan, Delta State, has said that the conference is aimed at helping "women live out their true potential and becoming the best version of themselves".

Barrister Kenge made this known while speaking to PENGlobal Business on the forthcoming conference themed 'Women Supporting Women', sponsored by the Amazon Project, a nongovernmental organization in Nigeria that is set to host another conference in the next two months.

Speaking further on the theme of this year's conference, Barr. Kenge explained that there is the need for women, irrespective of their ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds to join hands together in uplifting and empowering themselves collectively in the society.

"Women Support Women is a phrase that represents a movement and a philosophy that encourages women to uplift, empower, and support one another. It's about creating a community where women can come together, share experiences, and help each other grow personally and professionally.

"The idea is to break down the barriers of competition and jealousy, and instead, build each other up, celebrate each other's successes, and offer support and encouragement through life's challenges," while also "recognizing that there's room for everyone to succeed and that one woman's achievement is not a threat, but rather an inspiration to others."

While further noting that the Outstanding Women's Conference is the first public event embarked upon by the Amazon Project, Barr. Kenge revealed that the 2024 conference will offer to women "mentorship and coaching, networking and collaboration, encouragement and celebration" as well as "lifting each other up on social media, creating safe spaces for open conversation, and advocating for each other's rights and interests" as benefits to those that will be attending.

Barr. Kenge, in her message and charge to women ahead of the conference, said: "You're strong, capable, and deserving of love, respect, and happiness. Your worth and value come from within, and your unique voice and perspectives, matter. Embrace your individuality, celebrate your successes, and don't be afraid to ask for help when needed.

"Remember, you are not alone. There is a community of women who support and uplift each other, and you are a part of it. Believe in yourself, take risks, and pursue your passions. Your dreams are worth chasing, and your presence makes a difference. Keep shining your light and inspiring others to do the same. Let's continue to lift each other up and create a brighter future for all," she added.
