AMASUO-UGEH 2024: Vote of Thanks from Azama Leaders

 The Comrade Arthur Gbenekama-led Executive Council of Azama Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, and the High Chief Matthew Ebifiyebebe Pudie-led Amasuo-Ugeh Planning Committee, on behalf of the good people of Azama, hereby offer their gratitude on the success recorded at the end of year celebration in the community which held on Monday, December 30, 2024.

First, we thank the Almighty God for ensuring the safety of our guests that attended the Amasuo-Ugeh ceremony as no incident or accident was recorded. Also, we appreciate Him for making everything to go as planned and for the resources that were provided.

Secondly, we thank His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, for the peaceful atmosphere his reign has brought to the kingdom, without which no celebration would have been possible. Your Majesty, may your reign continue to usher in prosperity and peace to the kingdom.

Thirdly, we appreciate our notable special guests who were instrumental to the success of the ceremony in the personalities of the Izon Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo; the MD of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha; the Ibe-Benemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and MD of TSSNL, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Ebimobowei Pondi; the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, and the Chairman of the occasion and Executive Chairman of Kokodiagbene community, Comrade Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei.

We also acknowledged the roles played by the following personalities toward the success of the 2024 edition of the Amasuo-Ugeh: the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Dr. Amb. Godspower Gbenekama (JP); the Chairman of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Chief (Barr.) Bosin Ebikeme; the Project Manager of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Jeremiah Oritsejolone, Engr. Gabriel Timiwei, among several other leaders in the community.

We also thank the members of the planning committee, the elders, the chiefs, the women and the youths of the community as well as everyone who participated in the celebration and made meaningful contributions to its success.

We likewise use this medium to welcome all sons and daughters as well as our friends to the New Year. It is our solemn prayers that the Almighty God keep us all in good health and grant us His protection as we look ahead to the 2025 edition of the Amasuo-Ugeh celebration.
