AMASUO-UGEH 2023: Kokodiagbene Holds Praise, Worship, Prayer Day Ahead Annual Festival

The people of Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, are organising a Praise, Worship and Prayer Day programme to kick-start the 16th edition of the annual Amasuo-Ugeh Festival.

The programme which holds in Kokodiagbene playground comes up on Thursday, December 21, ahead of the festival that is billed for Friday, December 22.

According to the Amasuo-Ugeh 2023 planning committee chairman, Chief George Timiyan (JP), the programme is part of the festival's celebration aimed at seeking God's mercies, and grace towards the success of the programme.

"We need to put God first in anything we are doing," said Chief Timiyan, "hence the praise, worship and prayer programme to honour God while seeking for His protection and blessings during and after the festival," he added.

The planning committee chairman called on all sons and daughters to avail themselves to the programme noting the "spiritual controls the physical" in every areas of life.

"We can plan with our own wisdom and knowledge but if God is in our plans we can never fail. I therefore urge all sons abd daughters of Kokodiagbene to start this edition with prayers and praise by being a part of this activity," Chief George added.

The Praise, Worship and Prayer Day programme which is to be conducted by church leaders in Kokodiagbene community is expected to kick off 4pm on Thursday.
