The head of the medical team for the 2025 Amaseikumor Festival, Dr. Clarkson Agagha, has disclosed that two newborn child were delivered safely within a space of 12 hours apart, as part of the free medical services provided in the ongoing Amaseikumor Festival that is holding in Oporoza community, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The two infants, both male, were delivered 2:00am and 12:30pm on the Day 5 (Wednesday, April 23, 2025) of the week-long annual festival that began on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Describing the event so far as wonderful, he confessed that the patronage has been very high and that the team have been proactive.

"The official medical team of the Amaseikumor delivered two bouncing baby boys in a space of 12 hours. The first one was delivered at 2 a.m. in the morning. The second one was at 12.39 p.m. this afternoon.

"It has been very wonderful, we cannot even differentiate which day is Saturday and which day is Sunday or which day is Monday. Another thing I can tell you is that, from the medical point of view, it has been exceedingly overwhelming.

"We have also attended to some numbers of emergencies. Thank God the medical team on ground, if not the case would have been different," he added.

Other free healthcare services performed include eye surgeries and extraction of tooth that caused discomfort in patients, as well as routine checks for high blood pressure, malaria, sugar level, and general body check up, with patients benefitting from free medicated eye glasses, tooth brush and paste, drugs among others.

Dr. Agagha, thanked the organisers of the Amaseikumor Festival and its sponsors as well as the people for turning up in an orderly fashion.

"Sincerely, I don't know how to, I cannot quantify it. All I can say is that they have done exceedingly well. They were very proactive and the turnout has been extremely impressive. It is like an El Dorado in Oporoza," Dr. Agagha revealed.

The Amaseikumor medical committee is a sub-committee of the central committee headed by High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, TSSNL, and sponsor of the medical.
