55TH CONVENTION: Snr. Boan. Ubebe bags Zion Peace Ambassador Award, calls for perseverance in the faith
Senior Boanerge Edward Ubebe, the Minister-in-Charge of New Jerusalem Zion (NJZ), Oporoza, in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, has been honoured with the Zion Peace Ambassador Award by His Eminence and General Overseer of Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion Int'l Inc., Bolowou National Headquarter, Rev. Dr. Epistle I.O. Jemine, the King of Zion Worldwide.
The award was presented during the concluded 55th Annual Convention/2 Years Installation Thanksgiving Service whose grand finale held at the church auditorium on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The week-long programme themed "Humility as the Pathway to God-Given Greatness" with Bible Texts taken from James 4:10 and Matthew 18:4 began on Monday 9, 2026, with daily prayers, praises, and worship.
Speaking on the award, the NJZ Minister-in-Charge, Snr. Boan Ubebe revealed that the award is given in recognition of one's hard work and also serves as a call to do more in the vineyard of God.
He said, "The Award is given as a result of hard work. And as the King of Zion has given it, whoever is given has to press on, work more for God.
"This is God's affair, not a worldly one. So, the man who knows God must work harder to achieve the plan of God. And we pray that as God is giving, God will also give us more strength, knowledge and wisdom to move forward in the kingdom of God," the minister prayed.
On his two years stewardship in the NJZ, Snr. Boan. Ubebe attributed the success of his service to the mercies of the Almighty God that has been keeping him going, just as he returns the glory to Him for the wondrous works that God is doing.
The minister who noted that there is no tasks without challenges, called for patience from those who are desirous of serving God, as well as the need for them to demonstrate their faith by doing the Will of God.
"The truth is, this business is a different business from the worldly business. Even in the worldly business, we have challenges. Yes, anything one is doing, he must face challenges. If you want to serve God, you must encounter challenges, but you must endure and pray to God so that He will help you to overcome all the challenges.
"The one with God is majority. So, that's the hope we have; not that we don't have challenges. But any challenges we've got, God's there. He sees everything, knows everything, has power over everything.
"The scripture says, 'They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.' And that Spirit of God is the power that will move you to overcome the challenges. So that is the hope we have," he confessed.
The Zion Peace Ambassador in conclusion, counseled that those willing to do God's work, "must endeavor to serve Him irrespective of the challenges that you have. Trust in Him, believe in Him, and walk with Him sincerely. The Bible says those who walk with Him to the end will receive the reward.
"There are people who today say that I'm a servant of God, I'm this, I'm that, I'm a king or this. That is not the issue. The issue is, whatever position you occupy or wherever you find yourself in the Christian fold, you have to bear and push forward to the end so that God will reward you. That is the most important thing," he stated.
