All sons and daughters of the Izon Nation and in the Niger Delta region at large have been told to expect a "Divine Turnaround" in line with the theme of the forthcoming 27th edition of the Ijaw Day of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving, with its guest speaker, the Commanding ArchBishop Winning Willy Bunting of the Apostolic Army Worldwide, along with other ministers and traditional rulers, is set to storm the programme.

Organised by the Izon Christian Fellowship (ICF) Interdenominational, Delta State Chapter, under the leadership of Rev. Anthony Burutu, the 27th edition of the annual programme is billed for 9am on the 6th of January 2024 at the Chief Tunde Smooth (Smutuns) Playground along Warri-Sapele Road before NPA, near Warri Naval Base, Warri in Delta State.

On the forthcoming programme, the ICF's National Publicity Secretary, Bishop Dr. Godwyns Soroaye JP, revealed that all traditional rulers of the various Ijaw kingdoms led by the Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, HRM Elder Capt. King Dr. Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan (JP), the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, and other prominent traditional fathers such as the Peres of Akugbene Mein, Egbema, Gbaramatu, Iduwini, Isaba, Kabowei, Obotebe, Ogbolubiri Mein, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri, and Tuomo kingdoms, will be in attendance.

Also other neighbouring Traditional Rulers that are expected at the 27th edition include the Olu of Warri, the Ovie of Ijerhe, the Ovie of Agbara, the Ovie of Okere Urhobo, among other kingdoms of Delta State 

Also expected as special guests at the 27th edition are the President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Prof. Benjamin Okaba; a former deputy governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro; and the Honourable Speaker in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, among others.

Speaking to PENGlobal Community, Bishop Soroaye said: "A 21st century war machine, Winning Willy Bunting is going to storm Warri with a hosts of other ministers such that the Ijaw Nation can never remain the same.

"All Ijaw Traditional Rulers are expected to be there, led by the Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, and the first vice chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, the Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, are all expected to storm the occasion as usual.

"We are inviting the sons and daughters of Ijaw Nation, all Ijaw ministers, all traditional chiefs in all the Ijaw kingdoms are expected to grace this programme" while promising that "There is going to be a divine turnaround, that God Himself is going to cause a change in the Izon Nation. We cannot depend on our oil, on our power, or whatever anybody is thinking. God Himself, by His own mercies is going to turnaround the Izon Nation for good," he added.

The Ijaw Day of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving is a triple annual programme that began in 1996 and is put together by the umbrella body of Christians in the Izon Nation, the ICF, to pray, to praise, and to thank the Almighty God for His benevolence, mercies and blessings.
