The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II JP, Aketekpe, Agadagba; and the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu LGA, HRM Elder Capt. King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan JP Ph.D, Agbonu, Torububou 1, have been honoured with the prestigious award of Niger Delta Most Influential Monarch of the Year by Kokodiagbene community.

The awards among others awarded to various personalities who were recognised for their significant contributions to the development and growth of the oil-rich community, the kingdom and Niger Delta at large, were unveiled and presented at the 17th edition of the Amasuo-Ugeh Festival whose grand finale held in the community's playground on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Other personalities who were also honoured with prestigious awards include Niger Delta foremost leader, High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, who was honoured with the Iconic Award as The Light of Niger Delta.

Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, the Managing Director of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, was honoured with the Prestigious Award of Excellent Service to Kokodiagbene community and humanity in recognition of his outstanding philanthropic gestures.

High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Ebimobowei Pondi FNSE, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, was honoured with the Prestigious Award of Meritorious Service to Kokodiagbene community and humanity in general.

High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro Ph.D, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) was honoured with the Prestigious Award of Competent Service Delivery and people-centered leadership.

Sir Godfrey Tare Pondi, the General Manager Operations and Technical, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, was honoured with the Prestigious Award of Excellent Service to Kokodiagbene community and Humanity in General.

Comrade Amb. Pedro Bekenawei, the Executive Council Chairman of Kokodiagbene Community, was honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding service delivery and whose administration heralded monumental infrastructural development.

Chief (Engr.) George Timiyan JP, the Planning Committee Chairman of the 17th Amasuo-Ugeh Festival, was honoured with an Award of Excellent Service Delivery for demonstrating competence in the organisation of annual festival for nine times spanning three different administrations.

Comrade City Iyekoroghawei Ojowuro, the MD/CEO of O.C.I. Hotel and Suites, was honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding and unfathomable kind gesture and benevolence to Kokodiagbene community and humanity.

Deaconess (Mrs.) Prete Keniye, the Chairlady of Warri Beke and group of friends, was honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of her consistent and unfathomable kind gesture and benevolence to Kokodiagbene community and humanity.

Dr. Alfred Izon-Ebi (AKA Jking) was honoured with the Award of Excellence as Ijaw Music Icon of the Year in recognition of his outstanding music prowess.
