The Chief Executive Officer of PENGlobal Associates Limited, PAL, and Brand Director of its media segment, PENGlobal, a fast rising business and social brand promotional agency, Mr. Abai Francis, has revealed that some persons mocked him for sponsoring his wife through school after their marriage in 2014.

The CEO/Brand Director made the revelation while marking the 10th marriage anniversary with his wife, Mrs. Happiness, in Warri, Delta State, on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

PENGlobal, an innovative promotional platform on social media, is well known for its uniqueness in awareness creation of business brands and the showcasing of social events, as well as serving as an educational platform that creates insights on global phenomenon.

Speaking on the 10th anniversary on Thursday, the PENGlobal Boss who made a courtesy visit to his parents to seek their blessings and parted with gifts of phones to them, went down memory lane on the challenges in his earlier stint into what he termed 'marital-hood' and what prompted him to support his wife in her academic pursuit.

"I will say my marriage into marital-hood was the work of God's grace in action as I got massive support from my role model, my father, Engr. Emmanuel Miyentoikumor Abai. All that I am today is because of his owning up to his responsibility  as a father in raising his children, a challenging lesson I learnt from him.

"It was that influence from him that saw me undertake, with lean resources, to see my wife through her Higher National Diploma, HND, soon after our marriage in 2014, and also in fulfillment of the wish of her father (Mr. Edward Asowata of blessed memory) who wanted his daughter to be a graduate.

"However, my decision was seen by some persons as ridiculous and led to them mocking me behind my back," the gentle-looking brand promoter said, and added, "But today, funding her education has turned out as one of the best investments I have made."

While he thanked God for using the challenges of life to remodel him into what he is today, he said he appreciated the roles everyone played, good or bad, as they were all part of the growth process.

"Without challenges, we will not grow. I love challenges because they bring out the best in me. Without challenges I will be nothing. And so I choose to embrace challenges rather than run away.

"I therefore urge all those going through various challenges in life to not let up, but to stay focus on what God says, not what men say. It is not easy, but with God all things are possible," he proclaimed.

On relationship, he challenged those desirous of settling down to shift their focus away from the emotional entanglement of love and to embrace maturity if their union is to succeed.

"Love brings us together, but it takes understanding to build a relationship. And so, relationship is not for children, but for adults. And by adults, I mean matured minds. Without the room for understanding, maturity doesn't exist. Unfortunately, a lot of people grow up by height only, not in maturity," he revealed.
